The reading last night was great. I was so happy to be in a welcoming space (the Dove and Olive Works in San Mateo) with a supportive audience (fellow members of the San Francisco/Peninsula Writer’s Club). I’ll be reading there again next month, too.

As an audience member, I particularly enjoyed hearing readings by writer’s club president Christopher Wachlin and fellow member/publicity chair Wendy Walter. In other areas of my life I’ve been a group-joiner for a while, finding the support of like-minded people to be extremely helpful. In retrospect, I’m not sure why it took me so long to reach out to the community of writers, but I’m really glad I did.
