How’s that daily writing thing workin’ out for ya?

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve welched on my commitment to write (that is, work on my new novel) daily.

That’s because my designated writing time has instead been devoted to my previous novel, Dance of Souls. I have been working hard to make it available as a print-on-demand book. Instead of flexing my creative muscle, I have been navigating the labyrinth that is self-publishing. With one novel recently published and a new one underway, I do feel, as I’ve mentioned before, a bit torn between my two “children.” When one is sick or just needs more TLC, you can’t help but ignore the other one for a little while.

I’ll report soon on how the publishing process went. In the meantime, I’m waiting for the proof to come back, which means I’m out of excuses for not writing.

Except for the one that sits in my lap, purring and obstructing access to my keyboard:

Apache "helping" me write
Apache "helping" me write

Tell me what you really think...
